In a Class of His Own (1999).  Portrays Skip Jordan, doughnut-eating high school guidance counselor.  Result: Renewal of faith?

This is a surprisingly likable movie.  What could have been easily been just another high school film populated with stereotypical, two-dimensional characters is instead an expansive look at relationships and the human spirit.  Fine acting all around further elevates this movie into something special.  And although it centers on another character, it also provides a  terrific role for McBeath who does an superb job of portraying a man on his own voyage of discovery.
